Job summary

Hampton Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront is seeking a dedicated hotel associate to maintain pool areas, restock amenities, and support housekeeping operations. The role emphasizes guest service, cleanliness, and adherence to brand standards in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning pool/restrooms, restocking supplies, reporting issues, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in required trainings.

  • Clean pool areas, restrooms and surrounding spaces per standards.
  • Re-stock towels, linens and housekeeping supplies around pool and common areas.
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day use and replenish chemical bottles.
  • Report missing items and any maintenance issues to management.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through attentive, courteous service.

Job description

  • Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
  • Thoroughly clean pool areas according to standards restrooms, green areas.
  • Re -stock towels, linens and required supplies around the pool area.
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use.
  • Replenish chemical bottles.
  • Clean Restrooms
  • Report any missing items to management.
  • Report any maintenance repairs immediately to management.
  • Handle items for “Lost and Found” according to the standards.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

General Requirements:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

Flexible and long hours sometimes required

Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
