Polysomnography Technologist (Sleep Tech) - The Jewish Hospital Sleep Center

Position Overview

This PRN position involves providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders through polysomnography diagnostic and therapeutic services, sleep staging, event scoring, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure cooperation during testing.
  2. Review clinical data and determine testing modalities based on patient information.
  3. Operate polysomnographic equipment to obtain diagnostic recordings following protocols.
  4. Interpret results, identify abnormalities, and recommend additional tests if necessary.
  5. Write detailed technical reports for physician interpretation.
  6. Administer neurodiagnostic procedures independently, monitor test quality, and maintain sterile techniques.
  7. Assist with patient scheduling, billing, and general office tasks.
  8. Maintain current knowledge through continuing education.
Qualifications

Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with BRPT and hold a current BLS certification.
