Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, seeks skilled sleep technologists across Level 1–3 to provide clinical assessment, physiological monitoring, and testing for sleep-related disorders. You will operate with PAP devices, acquire data, and generate reports under supervision, scaling to independence with experience.

Responsibilities include client care across age groups, calibration, and adherence to protocols, with opportunities for advancement and relocation assistance for qualified

Qualifications

• Level 1 requires a high school diploma/GED plus 1 year of post-secondary education or current enrollment in an accredited health-related program.
• Level 2 & 3 prefer an Associate’s Degree or completion of a polysomnography/respiratory therapy program (minimum 1 year).
• All levels require current BLS; Level 1 requires RPSGT or CRT/RRT license; Level 2/3 require RPSGT or SDS certification.

Responsibilities

• Level 1 duties include preparing and calibrating testing equipment and assisting with lights out/lights on procedures.
• Level 2 adds independence, review of patient history and protocols, and CPAP/split-polysomnography data acquisition.
• Level 3 covers leadership, complex data acquisition, specialized study protocols, and supervisory responsibilities.
