Job summary

Summa Health is hiring a Polysomnography Tech for full-time night shifts across multiple locations in the Cleveland area. The role requires completion of a sleep technology program or equivalent and certification within one year (RPSGT/RST/SDS).

You will perform high-quality polysomnography studies, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and ensure patient safety and comfort during testing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a sleep technology program or equivalent experience.
• Certification within one year of hire by BRPT/ABSM and holds RPSGT/RST/SDS credential.
• BCLS mandatory; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality polysomnography studies as prescribed by physicians.
• Rotates between White Pond, Green, Medina, and Barberton locations.
• Maintain policy-driven procedures and adherence to best practices.
• Support patient care with dignity and professionalism.

Summary

Performs high quality polysomnography studies as prescribed by physicians according to established policy and procedures as well as evidence based medicine or board recommended best practice.

• Formal Education Required:
• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Knowledge
• Experience & Training Required:
• Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a RPSGT/RST.
• Certification within one year of hire by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential.
• Scoring experience preferred (day shift)
• Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
• RPSGT by the BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) and/or RST by the ABSM (American Board of Sleep Medicine)
• BCLS
• ACLS preferred
• Respiratory/Neurology background credentials preferred.
• Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
• Level of Physical Demands:
• Walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time. Lift up to 10-20lbs.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
