Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist Supervisor to oversee patient care and staff in the Sleep Center. This role requires an A.A.S. or higher in Respiratory Therapy or an approved Polysomnographic Technology degree, along with a New York State license and extensive clinical experience.
The supervisor will manage sleep studies, train technical staff, and ensure high standards of patient care and departmental operations.
The Polysomnographic Technologist Supervisor will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This will involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education; perform scoring of sleep studies, conduct nocturnal and diurnal sleep testing in the Sleep Center. Will coordinate all of the departmental shift patient care, coordination of departmental staffing including input for selection, evaluation, promotion, discipline, personnel record keeping and reporting and monitoring for performance and quality assurance/improvement activities. Provides oversight, training and instruction of technical staff. Evaluate nightly workload and staffing levels. Assists in the ordering and maintenance of technical supply levels. Assists the Medical Director and/or Manager of the Sleep Center in all aspects of Sleep Center Operations.
