Job summary

The technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.* Gather & review patient information -histories, medications, procedure request and study protocol* Explain procedures and orient patient to sleep lab* Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments if necessary* Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting* Follow procedural protocols (such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration, etc. to ensure collection of appropriate data* Follow "lights out" procedures to establish and document baseline values* Perform polysomnographic data acquisition* Document routine observations* Implement appropriate interventions* Follow "lights on" procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process* Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages and clinical events* Generate accurate reports* Comply with applicable laws, regulations & guidelines* Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluations* All other duties as assigned**Qualifications:*** Successful completion of an accredited polysomnographic program leading to an associate’s degree with emphasis on polysomnography* Successful completion of an accredited polysomnographic program with emphasis on polysomnography or completion of ASTEP Program* Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists required OR Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) upon hire with RPSGT obtained within 6 months of hire* BLS certification required* A minimum of 3 years experience as a Polysomnographic Technician preferred.* New grads feel free to apply!The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $25.94-38.91 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
