Job summary

WK Pierremont in Shreveport, LA seeks a Sleep Technologist to perform sleep studies and monitor patients during the night shift. The role includes testing, diagnosis support and patient care for sleep disorders from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Candidates must hold BRPT credentials (CPSGT or RPSGT) or NBRC credentials (CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS), have Louisiana licensure, current BCLS, and demonstrate competence in sleep studies.

Qualifications

• Must possess BRPT credentials (CPSGT or RPSGT).
• Must possess NBRC credentials (CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS) with noted timelines if SDS not current.
• Must hold ABSM Registered Sleep Technologist (RST).
• Louisiana licensure is required.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Competent in the performance of sleep studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform sleep studies to aid in assessment, testing and monitoring of patients with sleep disorders.
• Assist in diagnosis, management and care of sleep-related conditions including sleep apnea and narcolepsy.
• Provide night-shift sleep technology support on 7P–7A schedule.

The Sleep Technologist is an individual that performs sleep studies to assist in the assessment, testing and monitoring, diagnosis, management and care of patients with sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, REM behavior disorder, narcolepsy, insomnia, etc.

Qualifications

Must have successfully completed one of the exams listed below:
