Job summary

Community Health Network is looking for a Sleep Technologist to join their Sleep Diagnostic team. Qualifications

As part of our Sleep Diagnostic team, you will partner with physicians/staff to provide patient‑centered care and outstanding service delivered with respect. Your expertise in your profession will allow you to advance the patient plan of care to achieve the best possible outcomes. You’ll be working with the patients and families to provide age and culturally appropriate care. You will provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with sleep disorders. You’ll implement conventional ventilation methods, and perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operation, cleaning and storing respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Advance patient plan of care to achieve best outcomes.
  • Work with patients and families to provide age and culturally appropriate care.
  • Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with sleep disorders.
  • Implement conventional ventilation methods and perform duties related to setting up, operation, cleaning, and storing respiratory equipment.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent for Sleep Technologist or graduate of an accredited Sleep program, or Associate’s Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC. Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS) preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of scoring experience with polysomnograms or Respiratory Therapy, sleep experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a Sleep Lab performing a variety of tests, including OPSG, MSLT, and CPAP/BIPAP, titrations and dedication to patient care.
  • Dedication to patient care; expertise in sleep lab services; strong communication with patients, staff, physicians and visitors.
  • Ability to evaluate and provide exceptional care for patients with sleep disorder insufficiencies.
  • Preparedness to handle patient preparation for test, administering test, defining preliminary report, scoring the test, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
