Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience or Associate's degree required.
  • BLS Provider credential from AHA and Polysomnographic Tech certification required.

Job description

Department: Park Sleep Medicine

PART Time (30 hours per week); Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Night Shifts, All Shifts from 8:30pm to 6:30am

Providence Park -Novi, MI

GENERAL SUMMARY

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
Perform and document testing. Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret and report result of sleep studies.
Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing. Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
One or more of the following required:
  1. Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  2. Reg Polysomnographic Technologist credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
