Job Overview

Performs standard and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitors physiological phenomena throughout such procedures.

Essential Functions

• Performs standard and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitors physiological phenomena throughout such procedures.
• Administers oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure and employs ventilatory assist devices in accordance with established protocols.
• Performs special procedures such as multiple sleep latency testing.
• Ensures cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the physical plant and reports issues to the appropriate department and supervisor.
• Ensures proper functioning of equipment, provides routine cleaning after each use, and maintains inventory of patient supplies.
• Scores polysomnogram/MSLT accurately; provides documentation for physician interpretation and maintains records, reports, and logbooks as required.
• Performs other duties of the department as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered or Licensed Respiratory Therapist or Registered Polysomnographic Technician.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• One to three years of previous patient care or health‑related experience.

Scheduling Requirements
