Join IU Health's nationally recognized pediatric sleep program with Riley Children's Hospital and help diagnose and treat sleep disorders in children through advanced sleep testing. This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly specialized patient population while developing expertise in pediatric sleep medicine.
This position performs basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies and may provide supervision of other staff. They prepare patient equipment for testing, interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain pre and post testing procedures. They perform and document testing per lab protocols. They will monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues. They will assist with scoring sleep studies and generating reports. The role prepares, calibrates, repairs and maintains equipment required for testing. They determine and report needed repairs/replacements. They will maintain credentials as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BPRT). Certifications obtained through the American Board of Sleep Medicine will be honored through their certification date or until credentials through the BPRT are obtained.
