Job summary

WACKER is seeking a Technical Operator (EG) for our Charleston, TN site. The role focuses on safe, efficient harvesting of polysilicon from reactors, operating mobile equipment and overhead cranes, and entering batch and downtime data into digital tracking systems.

You'll work in small teams to meet reactor turnaround standards, push for throughput improvements, and follow health, safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical and mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Open and reassemble reactors to harvest polysilicon.
• Work with management to achieve reactor turnaround standards.
• Input downtime information into the downtime tracking system.
• Report production issues and provide feedback to technical staff.
• Maintain 6S standards and housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Contact appropriate personnel when additional expertise is required.
• Identify opportunities to improve throughput and uptime.
• Follow company health, safety and environmental policies.
• RCRA generation responsibilities for containers, labeling, storage; regular inspections.
