Job summary

WACKER is seeking a Technical Operator (EG) for our Charleston, TN site to support polysilicon harvest. You will open and reassemble reactors, operate mobile equipment and overhead cranes, and input batch and downtime data into digital tracking systems to aid safe, efficient production.

You must have a High School Diploma or GED and possess technical, mechanical aptitude with basic computer skills. The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and a strong focus on health, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Open and reassemble reactors to harvest polysilicon.
• Work with management to meet reactor turnaround standards.
• Input downtime information into the downtime tracking system.
• Report production issues and provide feedback to technical staff.
• Ensure housekeeping and 6S standards in assigned areas.
• Contact appropriate personnel when additional expertise is required.
• Identify opportunities to improve throughput and uptime.
• Follow health, environmental, safety, and quality policies.
• Perform RCRA-related container and labeling duties and inspections.
