Job summary

Tarkett is seeking a Technical Process Manager based in Dalton, GA to translate complex material and process interactions into stable manufacturing outcomes. You will lead polymer-based projects, apply structured problem-solving, and drive continuous improvement across R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in engineering or PM roles, a chemical engineering background, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years in Engineering, R&D, Technical Program Management, Product Development, or Project Management.
• Strong critical thinking: evaluate evidence and identify root causes.
• Experience applying structured problem-solving in manufacturing.
• Travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple technical projects involving polymer-based products and manufacturing processes from initiation through completion.
• Apply critical evaluation to material-process interactions and identify true performance levers.
• Develop project plans, monitor progress, and manage risks and dependencies.
• Apply Six Sigma, DMAIC, root cause analysis to resolve technical issues.
• Design, plan, and oversee production trials and assess data quality.
• Drive process control, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate prototype development, testing, validation, and launch activities.
• Collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.
