Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related technical field.
• Experience in wet chemistry and polymer synthesis.
• Experience in polymer and/or small molecule synthesis and characterization.
• Strong bench skills and ability to work 90% in the lab.
• Ability to analyze, organize, and present data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment for self and others.
• Devise and carry out detailed experimental plans for synthesis of polymers and small organic molecules at lab scale.
• Communicate experimental observations and preliminary data in written and verbal form.
• Prepare and submit samples for analysis; collect and organize data for researchers.
• Document experiments in a lab notebook and monthly report.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on lab equipment and sourcing quotes for parts.
