Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer for our Lake Charles, LA plant to support product development scale-up across multiple unit operations.

The role requires a Chemical, Polymer, or Petroleum Engineering background with strong polymerization process knowledge and a hands-on, collaborative approach. The position emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and hands-on troubleshooting with operations and capital project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, polymer, or petroleum engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant industry experience in production or process engineering in a chemical plant or refinery preferred.
• Strong understanding of polymerization processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support product development scale-up across unit operations (distillation, reaction, flash, drying).
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects and process control improvements.
• Drive capital project scoping, pre-engineering, and start-up of new equipment with Operations and Technical Service teams.
