S&C Electric is seeking a Chemical Technologist to support the Polymer Products process engineering team. You will perform weekly material testing, generate test reports, and contribute to QA and engineering support for cypoxy formulations.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's or Bachelor's in a relevant field with 1+ years of material testing experience, and can work in a lab and production environment. The position includes day shift hours and a competitive compensation package.

Formación

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience performing material or chemical testing in a lab or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with polymer materials
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and operate lab equipment
• Ability to work with people in a lab and production/plant environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling, SDS and PPE
• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills

Responsabilidades

• Perform weekly routine material testing for cypoxy formulations and other materials used in molding operations
• Write and communicate test reports with stakeholders weekly
• Assist with NMR and RMA investigations and test reports
• Conduct experiments and analyze process data; write clear test reports
• Learn ISPs guidelines and assist in disposition of on-hold products
• Create instruction bulletins for standard work practices
• Support continuous improvement of processes and equipment in the polymer lab
