Join Our Team as a Chemical Technologist!
The Chemical Technologist will support the Polymer Products process engineering team.
The Chemical Technologist performs a variety of material testing associated with cypoxy™ formulations for the purposes of quality assurance and production / engineering support. The principal responsibilities include performing weekly routine material testing, material testing based on production / engineering needs, writing/creating test reports for routine material testing, assisting with non-conforming and return material authorization analyses, conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing process data, and writing standard work instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform weekly routine material testing associated with cypoxy™ formulations and other raw materials/chemicals used for molding operations - viscosity, density, loss on ignition, glass transition temperature, track testing, hardness, surface roughness, particle size distribution analysis, concentration analysis, etc.
- Write/create test reports for the routine material tests performed and communicate the test results with the relevant stakeholders on a weekly basis.
- Assist polymer engineering team with Non-Conforming Material Reports (NMR) and Returned Material Authorization (RMA) investigations and test reports.
- Conduct experiments, collect and analyze process data using statistical tools, write clear, concise test reports describing the test procedures, results, analyses, and conclusions for any quality related investigations.
- Learn about the quality guidelines defined in Inspection Specifications Procedure (ISPs) for all polymer products and become an engineering representative to disposition products that are on-hold for engineering review by Operations team on a timely basis.
