Job summary

STM is seeking an Industrial Lab professional in Franksville, WI to develop and test adhesive formulations for industrial tapes. You will connect laboratory results with manufacturing performance, supporting quality, process efficiency, and safe chemical handling.

The role combines hands-on lab work, formulation development, and problem solving, with pay starting at $35–$38 per hour for a 32-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry required.
• Strong understanding of chemical testing and processes; mathematical/analytical skills important.
• Excellent documentation, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and test adhesive compounds and formulations for tape applications; select and adapt testing methods.
• Perform chemical testing on mixed adhesives and coated tapes to support quality control and compliance.
• Analyze results and prepare laboratory reports; maintain project records accurately.
• Collaborate with Coating and Quality teams to identify improvements in product quality, cost, and safety.
• Operate, maintain, and test laboratory equipment; troubleshoot and repair as needed.
• Draft standard operating procedures and safety materials; provide coverage as needed.
• Follow EH&S requirements, proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals.
