Qualifications

• 3–5 years in news with newsroom or assignment desk experience.
• Strong news judgement with interest in politics.
• Ability to multitask and make quick decisions under deadline per editorial priorities.
• Keen attention to detail and robust organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams under pressure.
• Highly responsive and communicative with collaboration tools.
• Strong writing skills; knowledge of CNN’s newsgathering process is a plus.
• Experience with content management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key contact for field teams and coordinators across CNN TV and digital platforms.
• Track events and allocate resources to match CNN priorities.
• Coordinate deployments, travel, video transmission, and security considerations for field teams.
• Manage liveshots and digital videos to fit platform requirements.
• Identify opportunities for multi-modal content across platforms; pitch ideas.
• Circulate editorial information from field teams and monitor live events and feeds.
