Democrats.org is seeking an Accounting intern for the Spring 2027 term in Washington, D.C. This internship offers hands-on exposure to nonprofit and political accounting, with collaboration across departments and external partners.

The program runs January 11, 2027 to March 19, 2027 in in-person, hybrid, or remote formats. A stipend of $3,700 is provided; housing is not included, and interns must work 20 hours per week while located in the United States.

Qualificações

• Track, analyze, and reconcile cumulative vendor payments against statutory IRS thresholds to determine 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC eligibility
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, post general ledger journal entries, and assist with account analysis
• Support day-to-day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processing, vendor invoice management, and expense report verification
