The Democratic National Committee invites applicants for the Spring 2027 Accounting Internship in Washington, DC. The program offers hands-on experience in financial operations, budgeting, and compliance within a major political organization.

Term runs January 11, 2027 to March 19, 2027 and may be in-person, hybrid, or remote. Interns based in the Washington, DC area may work on-site. A stipend of $3,700 is provided, with an expectation of 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or older and meet all eligibility criteria.
• Commitment of 20 hours per week during the program.
• Must be physically present in the United States to participate.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and reconcile vendor payments to determine 1099 eligibility.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and post general ledger entries.
• Support accounts payable/receivable processing and vendor invoice management.
