Job summary

The José Andrés Group is seeking a Polisher (Part-Time) in Washington, DC to keep glassware, chinaware, and silverware spotless and ready for service. You will support the front-of-house team with high standards of cleanliness and presentation that reflect the restaurant’s commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fine-dining or hospitality setting preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Polish and inspect cutlery, glassware, and chinaware to ensure spotless, streak-free results.
• Handle delicate items with care to avoid breakage.
• Organize and store polished items for easy access by service staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in polishing and storage areas.
• Follow hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
• Set up and break down service areas when needed.
• Report shortages or breakages to supervisors promptly.
