Job summary

Gracious Hospitality Management is hiring a Polisher to join the 550 Madison dining project in Midtown Manhattan. You will inspect and polish glassware, flatware and dishware for flawless service, coordinate with BOH and FOH teams, and support station cleanup and setup throughout shifts.

The role emphasizes clean appearance, safety, and adherence to brand standards; some training of new staff and flexible shifts are required. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must read, speak, understand and follow written directions and verbal instructions in English.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receives all clean glassware, flatware, plate ware and other service equipment and inspects for flaws.
• Removes cracked or defective items from service and informs management.
• Polishes all glassware, flatware and plate ware to a shine with no watermarks or debris.
• Maintains cleanliness of the dish pit area and conducts daily station cleanups.
• Completes side work related to setup and breakdown of the dish pit area.
• Trains new employees as assigned and assists other stations as needed.
