Description

The Polisher (Mechanical Assembler) will follow process instructions and blueprints to polish components and will work with other departments to repair equipment for the biopharmaceutical industry. Polishing will be performed in a fast-paced environment on industry-leading equipment.

Responsibilities

• Polish equipment accurately and with proper procedures in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of all types of hand tools and measuring devices.
• Work on stainless steel finishing, including but not limited to:
• Operate hand grinders
• Polishing
• NDT/Liquid Penetrant testing of all inside welds on an electro-polished vessel.
• Install and maintain utility/service lines.
• Operate overhead crane and/or forklift.
• Inspect and maintain proper and safe operation of all shop equipment.
• Recommend improvements.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
• Ability to travel when required.
• Active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• Experience in similar operations required
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland
• Must be able to perform simple math equations and read a tape measure
