Alfa Laval in Indianapolis, IN seeks an on-site production specialist to polish components for pump, valve, and PHE products, following 3A surface finish standards. Day shift with overtime as needed, on-site at our Indianapolis facility.

You will perform setup, adhere to SOPs, participate in continuous improvement, and lift materials as required. Prior production/warehouse experience and basic tool skills are essential; crane/forklift certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in production or warehouse environment.
• Experience using power tools.
• Crane and forklift certifications preferred.
• Polishing experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, MOs; basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Polish sub components and/or perform material processing within a small set of parts.
• Set up processes and perform value-added activities using defined operating parameters.
• Follow SOPs and documentation to complete daily production demand.
• Contribute to team performance and improvements within the Alfa Laval Production System.
• Observe all company policies and perform quality checks when work is complete.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or with lifts.
• Other tasks may be assigned.

About the job

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in within the hygienic fluid handling team. You will have the opportunity to polish components to support pump, valve, and PHE products that require 3A surface finish standards, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently this is an on site day shift (6am – 2:30pm, overtime as needed) position at our Indianapolis, IN facility.

As a part of the team, you will:

• Polishes sub components and/or executes the material processing within the facility composed of a limited number of pieces that require basic levels of product and process knowledge.
• Perform process setups and value add activities utilizing defined operating parameters, following all documentation to complete daily production demand within assigned team.
• Continuously build job knowledge through execution of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop the department in accordance with the Alfa Laval Production System participating in team performance and improvement meetings.
• Observes all company policies.
• Always executes quality checks and inspections when the work is completed
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using lifts.
• Other tasks may be assigned.

What you know:

You have high school diploma or GED and

• Experience in a production or warehouse environment
• Experience using power tools
• Crane & Forklift certifications preferred
• Previous experience in polishing preferred
• Use and care of basic production or assembly hand tools
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, manufacturing orders, etc.
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Critical thinking and problem-solving
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
