Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a POLISHER for a manufacturing environment. This is a temp-to-perm, full-time position for the right candidate.

You will polish and finish parts, manage tools, and ensure quality through deburring and grinding processes. The role emphasizes safe tool use, inventory awareness, and keeping a clean work area, with a 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM schedule and hourly pay of $23-$25 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks assigned by Lead or Production Manager.

• Polish parts with appropriate compounds and wheels.
• Retrive parts from stock to keep workstation supplied.
• Communicate inventory issues to supervisor.
• Identify defects and report to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and proper tool storage.
• Document performance for operational tracking.
• Support production with ad hoc requests as needed.

Job description

We are hiring for a POLISHER for a manufacturing company. This is a temp to perm position with full-time hire for the right candidate.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Manufacturing Laborer, the incumbent filling the role has the following responsibilities:

• 1. Perform tasks and duties as assigned by the manufacturing Lead or Production Manager
• 2. Use tools and fixtures to prepare and polish parts
• 3. Prepare parts through deburring, rough grinding, finish grinding and fine sanding
• 4. Polish parts with the appropriate compounds and polishing wheels
• 5. Retrieve parts from stock to ensure workstation is supplied for the entire shift
• 6. Communicate inventory issues to supervisor
• 7. Recognize and communicate defects to supervisor to maintain quality standards for all production
• 8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including proper storage of tools and materials
• 9. Document and report out on performance for operational tracking and reporting
• 10. Ad Hoc requests as necessary to support production and operations

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

An understanding of the manufacturing processes and requirements for producing floor cleaning machines. Experiential or educational knowledge of the operational needs of a machine manufacturing process. Exception skill and capability to manage the daily requirements and balance the short-term and long-term needs of production. Ability to lift heavy machines

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• Bilingual is a plus
• Experience working in a production environment
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Effective time management of daily tasks

PERFORMANCE

Ability to read and write in English, Ability to stand for up to 8 consecutive hours with regular breaks, ability to lift unassisted up to 50 lbs., ability to use hand tools and power tools in a safe manor, ability to understand and use PPE appropriately

Schedule: M-F from 7am to 3:30pm
Pay: $23- 25/hr. depending on experience
