SUMMARY

Assists in the finishing of parts after they have been painted.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demask finished parts and inspect them to ensure no damage is done.
• Perform a finish of the part(s) after painting is completed using specified products outlined in the work instruction. Products may include wax, compound, or polish.
• Finish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax or other materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of spray booth.
• Position articles in jigs or erect ladders or scaffolding.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or approved by the Paint Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Background in paint and body repair with a minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience. A high school diploma or GED equivalent required. A certificate from an accredited technical or industrial trade school is preferred. Must be a self‑starter with proficiency in budgeting time. Incumbent must possess basic hand tools for the position and upgrade such tools as required to complete the tasks assigned.
