The Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, DC is seeking a Manager, Policy, Research & Analysis for the Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Initiative. You will guide research, develop Pew-branded publications, and provide technical expertise to support state and federal policy efforts.

The role includes managing staff and coordinating with Pew partners across communications, research quality, and government relations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum eight years of applicable research and policy work in public health or behavioral health.
  • Experience supervising staff, including performance reviews and coaching.
  • Must certify termination of any lobbying registrations prior to employment.
  • Strong analytical and policy synthesis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SUPTI research objectives and milestones.
  • Develop a research strategy to advance state policy objectives for medications for opioid use disorder.
  • Oversee daily operations of PRA team, including meetings and budget.
  • Collaborate with external partners on research and policy initiatives.
  • Advise project leadership on strategic direction and campaigns.
  • Develop background research and written products; supervise staff.
  • Serve as primary reviewer of research publications with Pew's Communications.
  • Present topics to internal/external audiences; represent the initiative at events.
