Job summary

City of New York’s District Attorney’s Office, Special Victims Division, seeks a part-time College Aide to support policy development, trainings, and external engagement initiatives. The position reports to the Deputy Division Chief for Gender-Based Violence Policy and offers an opportunity to work on important survivor-centered projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating advisory councils, survivor networks, and task forces; assisting with recruitment of gender-based violence trial experts;

Qualifications

• Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school is required.
• For Assignment II: IT-related coursework with at least 9 credits required.
• For Assignment III: IT coursework with 9 credits and related field required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer the SVD Advisory Council and Survivor Network.
• Coordinate and administer DANY’s Early Engagement Team Initiative and IT-related partnerships.
• Coordinate and implement SVD and office trainings.
• Conduct state, local and federal research on SVD legislation and policy and prepare reports.
• Support community events and trainings with the Community Partnerships Unit.
