Job summary

The California Public Utilities Commission seeks a Program and Project Supervisor in Sacramento to lead a multi-disciplinary staff within the Safety Policy Division, coordinating activities and ensuring timely, high-quality work. You will guide policy through data-driven analysis, develop resolutions, and prepare briefing materials for Commissioners and CPUC executives, in writing and presentations.

Qualifications

• Supervise, plan, and coordinate the activities of a multi-disciplinary professional staff.
• Directly supervise Section staff and coordinate with other divisions and state agencies to ensure timely, high-quality work products.
• Active participation as a member of Safety Policy Division’s management team.
• Oversee creation of resolutions ratifying Wildfire Mitigation Plans and other policy matters to be voted on by the Commission.
• Lead development, recommendation, and implementation of policy through data-driven analysis and research.
• Ensure briefing materials for communicating policy and technical recommendations to Commissioners and CPUC executives, in writing, verbally, and in presentations.
• Oversee policy documents, memoranda, white papers, and other material related to wildfire risk and utility safety Performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, plans, and coordinates activities of a multi-disciplinary professional staff.
• Directly supervises the Section staff and coordinates with other divisions and state agencies to ensure timely, high-quality work products.
• Acts as a management team member within the Safety Policy Division and contributes to policy development.
• Oversees the creation of resolutions ratifying Wildfire Mitigation Plans and other policy matters for Commission votes.
• Leads data-driven policy development and analysis to inform decisions and recommendations.
• Produces clear briefing materials for Commissioners and CPUC executives and supports verbal and written communications.
• Oversees policy documents and white papers related to wildfire risk and energy safety for Californians.
