Job summary

The Council of State Governments Justice Center is seeking a Policy Manager to provide project leadership, guidance, and technical assistance on justice policy initiatives. You will manage day-to-day execution of several projects and support strategy development with senior staff for policymakers, practitioners, and partners at state, local, and Tribal levels.

This role requires subject-matter expertise, relationship-building with government officials, and the ability to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in policy, program management, or similar roles.
• Experience coordinating multi-agency initiatives and multi-branch systems.
• Ability to translate complex policy issues into written products for policymakers.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more policy projects with guidance from senior staff.
• Provide technical assistance and deliver high-quality policy resources for policymakers and practitioners.
• Build and manage relationships with government officials, courts, corrections, and behavioral health partners.
• Develop policy briefs, memos, and presentations to communicate analysis and options.
