Zusammenfassung

City of New York’s Bureau of Children, Youth, Families & Developmental Disabilities seeks a City Research Scientist to drive policy research and analysis. You will lead the policy agenda, review local and national legislation, and analyze reimbursement systems to improve access to care for children and families.

You will synthesize findings for senior leadership, coordinate comments on proposals, and supervise policy staff while advancing equity in policy work.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in public health or related field required.
• Doctorate degree in applicable field with relevant supervisory/research experience preferred.
• Experience with policy analysis and evidence-based recommendations preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead the development of the bureau's policy agenda and identify opportunities for policy advancement.
• Conduct analysis of local, state, and national policies and prepare summaries for leadership.
• Research reimbursement and payment systems to improve access to care (e.g., Medicaid, VBP).
• Write briefs, memos, literature reviews, and presentations to advise leadership on priorities.
• Monitor policy proposals and coordinate bureau comments and summaries.
