AARP, the nation’s leading nonprofit for 50-plus Americans, seeks a Policy Integration Director–Social Security in Washington, DC. You will lead development and integration of Social Security policy, coordinate rapid-response initiatives, and produce analyses and briefing materials for executives and the Board.

AARP’s Policy, Research and International Affairs leads the development and communication of AARP’s public policies and, research and insights on the issues that matter to people 50-plus.
Policy Integration Director‑Social Security leads the development, integration, and advancement of Social Security policy strategy, ensuring the organization remains a trusted authority on aging and retirement issues. Directs rapid-response policy initiatives and the creation of high‑impact briefing materials, analyses, and visual content to address emerging legislative and regulatory developments. Partners across the enterprise to align policy priorities with organizational goals, enabling departments to effectively advocate for and communicate policy positions. Conducts complex policy research and analysis, develops innovative policy solutions, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to shape public policy campaigns and advocacy strategies. Cultivates strategic relationships with government, industry, and thought leaders to inform and influence policy direction while strengthening the organization’s voice on key Social Security issues.
