Job summary

MOVE Texas seeks a Policy Director to lead statewide policy campaigns, legislative strategy, and advocacy efforts. The role drives MOVE Texas' policy work on democracy reform, climate justice, and gender justice, coordinating with members and coalition partners across Texas.

The Director will translate priorities into strategic programs, manage the department budget, coach staff, and oversee partnerships, ensuring accountability and impact statewide.

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be a Texas resident.
• Experience managing multiple large-scale legislative and/or advocacy projects.
• Experience leading remote statewide teams and unionized workforce.

Responsibilities

• Design and drive statewide advocacy strategies and campaigns.
• Manage department and organizational budget.
• Lead people management and team development.
• Build coalitions and partnerships across stakeholders.
• Serve as spokesperson on core policy issues.
