Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Arlington, VA seeks a Policy Manager to work with the VP of AWS Public Policy on data center, infrastructure expansion, energy, national security and public sector policy.

You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to educate policymakers and NGOs on critical issues related to data centers, such as energy and water use, and community benefits, and help develop policy content and strategies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, corporate social responsibility, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work with the VP of AWS Public Policy on data center, infrastructure expansion, energy, national security and public sector policy and regulatory issues.
• Drive external engagement on data center infrastructure issues with federal, state and local policymakers, including site visits and education programs.
• Develop policy content and strategies for messaging to policymakers, government officials and other key stakeholders.
• Manage executive engagement for the team on data center issues, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
