About the Role

The Policy Director is a senior position on TDC’s policy team, reporting to the Vice President of Policy & Government Affairs. The Director will support one or more policy verticals such as consumer innovation, asset tokenization, accounting, decentralization and DeFi. This individual will lead working group activities, shape policy positions, draft comment letters and regulatory submissions, track key legislative and regulatory issues, and engage with U.S. and international policymakers.

Key Responsibilities

• Policy Research and Support
  • Monitor, research, and summarize federal and international blockchain policy developments.
  • Draft policy documents, comment letters, testimony, and regulatory submissions.
  • Help coordinate input from Chamber members, legal advisors, and technical experts.
• Advocacy & Government Relations
  • Support outreach to Congress, the White House, and federal agencies (e.g., SEC, CFTC, Treasury, Federal Reserve).
  • Prepare briefing materials and assist in scheduling meetings and Hill engagement activities.
  • Track and summarize key legislation, hearings, and regulatory proposals relevant to TDC members.
• Coalition Building & Industry Engagement
  • Help organize and lead TDC member working group calls and events.
  • Assist in relationship building with partner organizations, think tanks, and trade associations.
  • Represent TDC at select meetings or events as appropriate, with occasional travel.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required
• 5+ years of experience in public policy, law, government affairs, financial regulation, or a related field.
• Strong familiarity with the U.S. legislative and regulatory process; interest in financial services, fintech, or digital assets.
• Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience (including internships) in a trade association, advocacy organization, think tank, or technology company.
• Knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency, stablecoins, DeFi, or digital identity topics.
• Desire to build a career at the intersection of emerging technology and public policy.

The compensation for the Policy Director is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
