Job summary

Planned Parenthood Federation of America seeks a Policy Counsel to provide legal analysis and strategic advice on state and local legislation affecting reproductive health care.

Reporting to the National Legal Director, you will collaborate with PPFA affiliates and cross-functional teams to develop long- and short-term policy strategies and to center communities most affected by restrictive laws.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA-accredited U.S. law school required.
• Bar Admission: Eligible to practice in New York or Washington, DC.
• 2–6 years of legal experience.
• Ability to provide legal counsel to partners at all levels and work across divisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal analysis and strategic advice on state and local legislation impacting reproductive health care.
• Partner with PPFA staff and affiliates on legislative and regulatory matters.
• Develop state and local policies and memorandum for senior counsel and attorneys.
• Represent the L&L policy team in coalition spaces and conferences.
