Pinterest is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Policy Communications to lead its Policy Communications team, shaping public narrative on policy and safety priorities on a global scale. You will guide media relations campaigns, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and represent Pinterest in industry discussions.

The role emphasizes proactive campaigns, rapid-response communications, and the ability to translate complex policy concepts into clear narratives for media audiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in media, corporate, political, government or agency communications.
• Proven ability to drive policy- and safety-focused media campaigns.
• Strong relationships with tech policy press and influencers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with sound judgement.
• Experience with global regulations in consumer tech and online safety.

Responsibilities

• Shape industry news and policy debates through proactive campaigns and rapid-response communications.
• Partner with Government Affairs, Legal, Compliance and Trust & Safety to drive a strategic media relations agenda.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with tech policy press, publications, broadcasters, opinion formers and stakeholders.
• Anticipate, monitor and manage reputational issues and fast-moving regulatory developments with communications plans.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure Pinterest's mission and business are well-understood and well-perceived.
• Represent Pinterest at conferences, panels and industry events to articulate policy and safety positions.
• Draft press releases, blog posts, FAQs, and key messages.
