Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Policy Communications Intern to support global policy communications strategies. You will help craft quotes, press materials, and messaging briefs, manage the @MicronPolicy X account, and summarize congressional hearings and policy events.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, content creation, and AI-enabled workflows to advance Micron's policy objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong interest or experience in government, technology, defense, or semiconductor-related industries.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn.
• AI proficiency with LLMs or AI-enabled ways of working where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of global policy communications strategies across integrated channels.
• Draft communications materials including quotes, press releases, and messaging briefs.
• Manage and create content for the @MicronPolicy X account to meet engagement goals.
• Attend and summarize congressional hearings and think tank events related to semiconductor and national security issues.
• Monitor policy activities and industry news to identify engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with global communications, marketing, and digital teams to amplify narratives.
• Copy edit and format internal and external communications products.
