Job summary

VTG is seeking a Policy Analyst I with a TS/SCI clearance to support our government customer in Washington, DC. The role is onsite in Washington, DC, requiring on-site presence with possible telework as appropriate.

You will liaison across State Department bureaus, prepare policy papers, and help coordinate interagency engagements, conferences, and briefings for leadership. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience are preferred, including overseas travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience preferred.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Ability to brief and work with high-ranking officials across agencies.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% overseas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a policy analyst in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism.
• Liaise with interagency bureaus to communicate effectively and advance policy.
• Advise the Office Director and Deputy Director on special projects.
• Support bilateral and multilateral diplomatic engagements with relevant partners.
• Participate in interagency meetings and prepare leadership for meetings, speeches, and presentations.
• Conduct outreach to manage relationships with international organizations and NGOs.
• Research, prepare, and review policy papers and briefing checklists on key topics.
• Support the organization and conduct of conferences and meetings, including high-level USG visits.
• On-site presence required with situational telework if appropriate.
