Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings (BAH) is seeking a Policy Analyst to support our government customer in Arlington, VA. The role requires senior-level DoW experience, TS/SCI clearance, and the ability to translate complex security policy into actionable guidance.

The candidate will assess geopolitical-military developments, advise decision-makers, and help design programs across multiple USG agencies. This is a high-responsibility, on-site position with competitive benefits and rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• Ten years' experience serving senior DoW/SES ranks or equivalents.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and manage requirements.
• Exceptional oral and written communication, translating technical detail for policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess changes to the international political-military environment and impacts on DoW and USG efforts to counter illicit threats.
• Provide advice to USG decision makers on international agreements, military sales, and security investments affecting policies.
• Analyze national security policy issues related to DoW support and help develop responsive programs in coordination with USG offices and partners.
• Provide decision-support to ODASW (CNGT) and USG personnel by analyzing CCMD/War Agency programs and recommending changes.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings (BAH) is looking for a Policy Analyst to provide support for our government customer in Arlington, VA.

Responsibility Overview

• Conduct assessments of changes to the international political-military environment and the potential impacts on DoW and USG efforts to counter global drug trafficking and other illicit threat network activities that threaten U.S. national security interests.
• Provide advice and recommendations to USG decision makers regarding the implications of existing or proposed changes to USG international agreements, military sales, security cooperation investments, and similar activities on CD/CTOC/CTF policies and programs.
• Analyze national security policy issues related to DoW support of National Drug Control Program objectives, identify stakeholder equities, and assist USG personnel in developing responsive CD/CTOC/CTF programs in coordination with other OSW offices, the Joint Staff, CCMDs, Military Departments, War Agencies, the USG Intelligence Community, other USG Departments, and U.S. and foreign law enforcement partners.
• Provide decision-support assistance to ODASW (CNGT) and USG personnel by analyzing ongoing and proposed CCMD and War Agency CD/CTOC/CTF programs and activities and making recommendations, based on USG guidance, for investment or other programmatic changes.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Education

• Master's degree from an accredited college/university

Required Skills and Experience

• Possess ten (10) years' experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DOW, other government agencies, or industry corporate equivalents, and will be expected to perform at the level of a mid-range GS-15 equivalent.
• Be able to operate independently, proactively manage requirements, and require minimal government direction to achieve desired outcomes.
• Demonstrate prior experience and capabilities for the successful execution of tasks associated with specific duty positions/focus areas (e.g., legislative, budget, etc.).
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to translate highly technical information into plain language for effective communication with DoW and other USG staff in the performance of all duties, tasks and services.
• Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Required Citizenship and Clearance

• Must be a naturalized U.S. Citizen.
• Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
