Job summary

Young Truck & Trailer Center - Kaysville is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Lighting Technician to install, diagnose, and maintain lighting systems on police, fire, and ambulance vehicles in our Kaysville, UT location. You will handle roof-mounted lights, light bars, strobes, sirens, and control systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and client specifications.

The role requires experience with emergency vehicles, wiring diagrams, and a detail-oriented approach to deliver top-quality

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install and upfit police vehicle lighting and related accessory systems.
• Work with roof lighting, warning lights, sirens, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose lighting system issues; provide efficient solutions.
• Perform upgrades/modifications to lighting setups to meet regulations and client specs.

Responsibilities:

• Police vehicle lighting upfit accessory installation


• Vehicle components and systems including safety and security; roof and lighting; braking system; electric charging stations; warning lights and sirens


• Install repair and maintain emergency vehicle lighting systems including light bars strobes sirens and control systems


• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with lighting systems and provide efficient solutions


• Perform upgrades and modifications to existing lighting setups to ensure compliance with regulations and client specifications

Qualifications:

• ASE and EVT certifications a plus


• Experience working with a variety of emergency vehicles such as police cars fire trucks and ambulances preferred


• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manual


• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
