Qualifications

• 21 years at time of appointment.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent G.E.D. Certificate.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's License, or be capable of securing it.
• Probationary Period is 12 months following the completion of Academy.
• Testing Procedure includes Written Exam, Physical Agility, Oral Interview, Polygraph, Psychological/Medical/Background examinations, Chief's Interview.

Responsibilities

• The Police Trainee will receive training for eventual appointment as a Police Officer.
• During non-academy hours, may perform non-sworn police-related tasks for the department.
