Job summary

City of Livonia, MI seeks Police Academy Prep PSAs to attend and complete required training at the police academy, learning state and federal laws, local ordinances, and department policies. You will participate in practical exercises, including physical fitness and firearms instruction, and study to pass exams on criminal law and investigations.

You must maintain physical and mental readiness for law enforcement duties and perform other training duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be a citizen of the United States.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or a valid equivalency certificate by the date of the Chief's Interview Panel.
• Possess and maintain a current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Possess an MCOLES Physical Agility or a US Military fitness certificate by date of hire, dated within the preceding 12 months of the closing date of this announcement.
• Possess normal hearing and normal vision acuity.

Responsibilities
