Qualifications

• 60 or more college credit hours from an accredited college, preferred.
• 5 years of experience as a full-time commissioned law enforcement officer by time of appointment.
• Field Training Officer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, manages, and evaluates assigned employees and makes decisions about hiring and discipline; prioritizes and assigns work; develops and oversees schedules; provides training; handles employee concerns; conducts evaluations; acts as liaison between employees and management.
• Provides law enforcement service as a sworn officer.
• Performs administrative tasks, participates in meetings, and communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
• Reviews investigations to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and ordinances.
• Provides effective customer service to citizens and ensures supervised personnel do the same.
• Manages assigned systems and processes.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
