Job Description

As a Police Security Officer Armed Patrol in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and public service agencies as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and maintaining accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Operate assigned communications equipment and maintain readiness to respond to security-related concerns in accordance with applicable policies, training, and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
