Job summary

City of Goodyear is seeking a Records Supervisor to oversee the records unit’s daily operations, ensuring secure handling of police reports, case files, and public records requests.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of leadership experience and three years in records management, with UCR/NIBRS experience and a valid Arizona driver’s license.

You will supervise staff, streamline workflows, and coordinate with prosecutors, courts, and other agencies while upholding privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate's degree required or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of leadership experience.
• Three years of experience in records management with UCR/NIBRS knowledge.
• Experience handling confidential records and maintaining privacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee records unit operations, supervise staff, train and evaluate performance.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting standards and retention schedules.
• Develop and improve records procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Process public records requests, subpoenas, and court-related documents.
• Coordinate with sworn personnel, prosecutors, courts, and other agencies on reporting and recordkeeping.
