Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher and three years of experience in law enforcement record-keeping, including one year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Must pass a stringent background investigation.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent and TCIC/NCIC certifications within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise support staff in the maintenance of records and provide customer service to assist the public and agencies.
• Oversee service at records counters, ensure quality control and accurate filing of police records.
• Manage uniform crime reporting, generate monthly reports, and audit for accuracy.
• Direct processing of open records and exchange of criminal information with agencies; ensure confidentiality.
• Enter and retrieve criminal information in NCIC and TCIC databases.
