The trainee is non-sworn and training-level, with no prior law enforcement experience, assisting and observing officers and civilian personnel. Salary is paid hourly at $34.13 while attending the academy.

Qualifications

• Possession of a High School diploma or GED; some college desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist and observe Police Officers and civilian personnel in entry-level capacity.
• Attend POST-certified Police Academy and gain Basic POST Certificate of Completion.
